One of the absolute gems of The Lookout is the downstairs bedroom. In keeping with the post-colonial aesthetic of the villa, the downstairs bedroom is adorned with touches of rustic elegance, with vintage suit-cases fashioned into drawers and side tables. This bedroom is defined by its openness, and spacious feel. It is well served as a romantic room, with its intimacy characterized by its beautiful ensuite bathroom leading through french doors to a private courtyard. As the only bedroom on the bottom floor of the villa it is not only special and secluded but also feels even closer to the beach, one needs only to open the huge teak bi-folding doors to step outside for direct access to the pool, garden and beach.
This room is defined by the term ‘beach chic’, its nautical color scheme with crisp white curtains, paired with navy and white décor. The room is simultaneously comfortable, fun and elegant. With the bi-folding doors opening up to the balcony with panoramic views overlooking the beach and coastline illuminating the room in the day. At night magnificent sunsets can be enjoyed sitting on the balcony outside the room. The bathroom is spacious with an inset bath and separate rain shower with a view to the ocean through fabulous bi-folding windows.
This suite takes the beachside feel to the next level, with its bi-folding doors opening to give magnificent views of the beach and coastline. It is fitted with 2 queen beds, comfortably sleeping 4 people, which give the villa great flexibility. The bathroom has its own rain-shower and bathtub. The room feels part of the coastline it looks out onto with its crisp aqua and white nautical décor, creating a comfortable and relaxed environment. The two beds face a 52-inch smart TV equipped with a DVD player, Netflix and an HDMI cable – there for whenever you might need it.
